Stefania Batoeva in Control

The Bulgarian artist Stefania Batoeva has a recent exhibition in Berlin in Galerie Koal which we had the pleasure to visit. Her work is absolutely stunning and we all were happy to become part of it. It is very inspirational and...you can easily say it carries the Bulgarian soul.
Personally, I had the honour to meet her during my crit in London which took place in November last year (2011). I am very glad she is Bulgarian and such a successful artist. If you are around Berlin, you should definitely visit it.

Requiem for Self Recreation - Experimental Film

For the final portfolio submission, all the students are obligated to submit a film max 3min long which explains their concept, their research and their eventual achievement. This film is a very first basic experiment which would be developed in time.

Olafur Eliasson Studio

Not only mine, but probably every single self-respecting architect has a favourite artist who is influential and extremely inspirational for them. Well, in my case this is Olafur Eliasson. This unique artist with Danish originality is based in Berlin, the fast-developing city where he creates his magical pieces. A couple of students from Oxford School of Architecture visited his practice because of their extremely kind tutor - Julian Loffler and his beautiful girlfriend who works there. Thanks to those incredible people who were that nice to show us around and meet us with Olafur's art from a different, more personal and more realistic angle.
Seeing the way the studio works, it is impossible not to fall in love. The kitchen, the fact that they all live together as a family is just beyond compare.
I had the greatest pleasure to visit, feel and experience this lifetime remembrance.

The Chronology

The work from Semester One is becoming part of the design.

My Own Loss

As the project had to be understood in its best possible way, I did another experiment of DAM_N Lost In Transformation but with my own experience via exactly the same journey in the same location. Just the time was different. I broke my cover layer, the envelope and I found my own self. The film is in comparison to another film which is very inspirational and influential for my project.
